We build every page to work without a mouse and to make sense when read aloud.
Moving around
- Tab and Shift+Tab move between links, buttons and fields. The focused item has a visible outline.
- Enter or Space activates buttons and links. Escape closes dialogs.
- A skip link at the top of the page lets you jump past the navigation.
- Answer options form a radio group, so the arrow keys move between them.
Meaning is never carried by colour alone
Correct and incorrect answers are shown with text and an icon as well as colour. Status badges use words.
Screen readers
Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled controls, and form errors are linked to the field they relate to.
Timed activities
If you use assistive technology and expect to need longer in the real assessment, you can choose longer timing for your own practice. See Reasonable adjustments.
Tell us what is not working
If something is hard to use, contact support with the page and the assistive technology you use. See also our Accessibility Statement.
