AI allowances and what happens when you reach them
How monthly AI allowances work, where to see your balance and how to top up.

Some AI features, such as marking, tutoring and diagnosis, have monthly allowances that depend on your plan.
Where to see yours
Usage in your account shows each allowance, how much you have used this period and when it resets.
What counts
An allowance is used when an AI request is made and a result is produced. It is not used when a request fails because of a technical fault, or when an AI mark is corrected after an appeal.
When you reach a limit
You see a clear message and your options: wait for the reset date, buy a top-up pack, or change plan. Your other features carry on working as normal.
Top-up packs
One-off packs such as AI marking top-ups add credits that are used after your plan allowance and that stay valid until the date shown with the purchase.
Fair use
Allowances exist to keep the service sustainable. If you have an unusual need, contact support.
